San Francisco’s powerhouse string band Skillet Licorice has completed a beautiful new album of old time American obscurities that I am proud to be a part of.  The repertoire is incredible: intricate, ornate waltzes from Texas, Scandinavian melodies from the upper Midwest, and ragtime reels. All with very lush, rich arrangements. I contributed a lot of piano, harmony fiddle, dobro, and probably lots of other stuff I’m forgetting now! Available now via Tiki Parlour Recordings.
